MOVEMENT & ALIGNMENT AWARENESS COACHING
Helping You Move Freely, Improve Mobility, and
Feel More in Control of Your Body

WHY BE ALIGNED?
When the different areas of your life are in harmony, life flows with ease. The same is true for your body: when it’s aligned and moving as it’s designed to, movement feels lighter, easier, and more natural. Everyday tasks become effortless, and you feel more balanced and in control.
Just like a clock struggles when one cog isn’t working properly, your body adapts and compensates when parts are out of sync, whether from habits, posture, or past injuries. These adaptations can limit your movement options, make certain tasks feel stiff or awkward, and sometimes contribute to discomfort.
Through alignment-based movement and awareness practices, we explore how your body currently moves, gently expand its options, and encourage it to organise itself more efficiently. Over time, this can help you move more freely, feel more comfortable, and experience your body working in harmony — with less restriction and more choice in movement.
What Is Movement Coaching?
Movement and alignment coaching is about helping you understand how your body currently aligns and moves, and giving it more options.
Over time, habits, injuries, work, stress and daily life shape the way our bodies organise themselves. Certain joints may move less than they used to, other areas may compensate, and the body can gradually settle into patterns that feel stiff, restricted or uncomfortable.
Rather than focusing only on symptoms, this work looks at how the body is organising itself as a whole.
Through simple, awareness-based practices, we explore your alignment, posture and range of motion, helping your body rediscover movement options it may have lost along the way.
It isn’t about forcing change or chasing perfect posture. It’s about understanding your body better and giving it more choices, so movement can feel easier, lighter and more efficient.
How It Works
When we work together, the first step is to build a clearer picture of how your body currently aligns and moves.
Using simple assessments - such as looking at your posture, joint range of motion, and analysing your walking pattern - we explore how different parts of your body are working together. This helps highlight areas that may be sitting out of alignment, joints that may not be moving as freely as they could, or places where other parts of the body may be compensating.
From there, I guide you through simple, targeted practices designed to help you notice what’s happening in your body and gently explore new movement and alignment possibilities.
These practices are usually small, slow and intentional. The focus isn’t on pushing harder or doing more, but on helping your body experience different options and organise itself in new ways. Over time, as your body gains more movement choices and better alignment awareness, everyday movement can begin to feel lighter, easier and more efficient.
Why Work With Me?
My approach combines movement, alignment awareness, and practical education to help you better understand how your body works.
I’m a fully qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer and Massage Therapist, with additional training in alignment-focused movement systems including the AiM Flow Motion Model, alongside ongoing study with other movement specialists.
Rather than relying on passive treatments, my aim is to help you develop awareness, confidence, and tools you can use yourself - so you can better support your body both now and in the future.

Stay Connected
I share regular content on my social media channels — from simple tips to easy movement practices you can try at home. It’s a great way to stay inspired and keep learning between sessions.
I was also invited onto a podcast in 2025 where I shared more about my work, including a deep dive into three common posture challenges and practical ways to start improving them.

MY STORY
How I Got Into Movement Coaching
Hi, I'm Yanushka Bagiolo (or Nush), the YB behind YB aligned.
My journey into movement coaching started long before I became a coach. From the age of 11, I experienced lower back pain (sometimes so severely that I couldn't even get out of bed) that never seemed to have a clear cause. Over the years, I saw specialists, doctors and physiotherapists, alongside hands on holistic therapists, and underwent countless assessments and treatments - massage, acupuncture, myofascial release. However, relief was always temporary and no one could find anything "wrong" with me.
For so long, I felt like something was missing in the approach of the professionals I had seen. I had even asked, “Could there be something I’m doing that’s causing my pain?” but was always told no.
Then, at 37 years old, an orthopaedic specialist told me that as long as I stayed on painkillers for the rest of my life, I wouldn’t be in pain. That was not an answer I was willing to accept. Right then and there, I knew I had to find another way!
The Turning Point
Six months later, through research (and maybe a little divine intervention!), I discovered Gary Ward, the founder of Anatomy in Motion. His approach focuses on identifying missing or restricted movements in the body and using corrective movements to restore natural alignment - taking pressure off the areas causing pain.
Even just hearing Gary speak on a podcast, I could tell his method was different. It made sense in a way nothing else had before. I had to learn more.
Gary primarily trains practitioners (from PTs to podiatrists) in his methods, so I sought out a local practitioner who had trained with him (see below). After just a few weeks, my back felt significantly better, and not just for a few days at a time - something that years of conventional treatment had failed to do. All I could think was: "Why has no one shown me this before?!"
This experience showed me that it is possible to make changes in the body, once you are aware of it's restrictions and imitations. Everyone’s body can adapt and improve when given more options, and that lasting change comes from awareness, movement, and alignment.
My Training Journey
From 2021 to early 2024, I trained with The Ixchel System (Get Into Your Body Methodology) as part of my learning and client experience, working alongside other practitioners to deliver weekly online classes and in-person workshops, to student all over the world. This start of my journey helped me understand my own pain journey and inspired me to pursue movement coaching. While this was an important part of my development, I no longer practise The Ixchel System.
Since 2023, I have studied and worked with Gary Ward’s Anatomy in Motion and Flow Motion Model, alongside further study with other movement specialists, deepening my knowledge and shaping the foundation of my current coaching practice.
I combine this knowledge with extensive workshop and one-on-one teaching experience, helping people of all ages and activity levels understand their bodies and expand their movement options.
Why I Do This Work
Like so many people, I used to think that pain and restriction are just part of life, an inevitable part of getting older. I now know it doesn’t have to be that way.
I wish I could go back and tell my 11-year-old self what I know now. Instead, I’m here to share this knowledge with others, helping people take back ownership of their bodies, rediscover their movement potential, and feel lighter, freer, and more confident - whether their aim is comfort, performance, or simply enjoying everyday life without limitation!
